New update

It was quite long ago since I last wrote here. I'm terribly sorry. I have been busy with school, everyday projects and other things. So I have a long list of updates, but I'll shorten to the most important ones. Here we go...

After being rid of the last pest on my face (you can read more about it in my previous blog entries), another one showed up on my chin. Wonderful. It took a few weeks until it was gone too. I've been taking good care of my face by washing it and steadily consuming my Acne medicine. I feel that my face skin is looking better than it was before, so thinks my Mother and Grandmother too. That proves it.

However, my psoriasis has gotten worse. It's all over my body, as mentioned before, but it has also started to itch and irritate (aren't those two synonyms btw?), usually during evenings before I go to sleep. Worst itch and rash are on my stomach, hips, legs and arms. Additionally, I have dry hands, which I supply with emollient cream (AQUALAN®L) many times a day, and I have some kind of strange spots on my feet. Not sure if the skin there is dry as well or if it's an allergic reaction from the injection.

I met my dermatologist on Monday 24th this month and discussed about the usual. We had prepared for months taking another medication for my psoriasis. That day was my first time taking an injection (STELARA™) - it went quick and smoothly without any pain at all, which made me relieved. It hasn't been even a week yet since I got the shot, but so far I haven't got any bad side-effects. I hope I will be spared from those.

It should take about two weeks until I will notice any changes. Then it says that the psoriasis will be as good as gone on the 24th week. Not for good though, but for some time. It's expected that I'll be taking the injection regularly as recommended. But we'll see first how it works for me: how much it helps/gives positive results and if recognizable side-effects are shown. I just need to say that if it's severe side-effects that needs to be hospitalized then I'll be giving up the medication, and that's that.

More information about the medicine can be found in this link.

To be continued...
